Who I Am
My name is Christina, and I became a postpartum doula because I lived through a sacred window that no one prepared me for. I know the exhaustion, the overwhelm, the identity shift โ and I know what it feels like to finally be held.
Our culture has forgotten something important. The ancient understanding of what a woman's body needs after birth โ the warmth, the rest, the deep nourishment, the tending โ has been quietly replaced by a world that expects new mothers to recover quickly and move on. The knowledge still exists. It has simply stopped being passed down.
"I know exactly what new mamas need โ because I needed it too."
When I discovered Ayurveda and the tradition of sutika paricharya โ the science of the postpartum window โ something in me went still with recognition. I studied deeply, trained with care, and let this wisdom become the ground beneath everything I want to offer.
MamaVeda is for the mothers coming next. For every woman who gives birth and deserves to be truly held in the weeks that follow. This is my calling โ quiet, certain, and rooted in something far older than me.
Training & Practice
Grounded in tradition. Certified in practice.
Trained in Sutika Paricharya โ the Ayurvedic science of the sacred postpartum window. Dosha assessment, abhyanga, herbal protocols, and nourishment practices for the fourth trimester.
Certified in the Bach flower remedy system โ 38 plant-based essences developed by Dr. Edward Bach to address specific emotional states. In the postpartum window, these remedies offer gentle, precise support for fear, grief, exhaustion, overwhelm, and the profound identity shift of becoming a mother. Each client receives a blend made specifically for what she is moving through.
Deep study in traditional Ayurvedic herbal wisdom โ understanding the plants, foods, and rituals that nourish a postpartum body and bring the nervous system back into balance.
The most grounding credential of all. I have walked this path โ the exhaustion, the identity shift, the longing to be truly held. It is precisely because I know what I needed and didn't have that this work calls to me so deeply.
My Philosophy
"To heal the world by caring for the mother."
Ayurveda teaches that when a mother is nourished โ truly held, fed, rested, and celebrated โ the ripple moves outward. Into her child. Into her family. Into her community.
Every mother I will serve, every session I will hold, every care plan I will craft โ it is all in service of a world where no mother is left unheld.
